|John Grimes was appointed as Chief Executive of the Australian Solar Council in 2008.
John started his career as an officer in the Air Force and went on to found and grow a number of companies, including a startup company he took to a successful listing on the ASX with a market capitalisation in excess of $30m.
His most recent company was in the environmental sector employing over 25 people with operations in Australia, the US and the Middle East.
In his role as CEO of the Smart Energy Council he has grown the profile and influence of the organisation. John has a passion for the solar, storage and the smart energy industry. He is regularly called upon, by the media, to provide relevant and independent comment in these areas.

|Mike Rand is Managing Director of Blueshore, a leading renewable energy asset management services provider dedicated to the Australian renewable market, established in 2017. Mike has experience in the investment and management of over AUD1.2 billion of solar assets and was instrumental to the creation and IPO of the first and highest performing dedicated solar energy investment trust, listed on the London Stock Exchange main market. In addition to his role at Blueshore, Mike is a founder and Managing Partner of Bluefield Partners LLP and has also directed its affiliate asset management and operation & maintenance platforms, Bluefield Services Ltd and Bluefield Operations Ltd. Mike has worked in the renewable energy industry for over 15 years and in asset finance and management since 1999. He holds an MA in Economics from Cambridge University and has presented at numerous international renewable energy conferences.|

|Schuetz brings extensive experience in the global power generation industry. At SMA, he leads the organization’s service offerings including a variety of risk-sharing options for customers – from extended warranties to spare parts guarantees to complete plant-wide operations and maintenance. In those capacities, he leads cross-functional service teams to operate cohesively as one unit. He empowers the teams to optimize project results and create operational excellence. Before joining the SMA team, he worked for GE Power as a senior project manager for field execution. Prior to GE, he spent more than 10 years at Alstrom Power, serving in multiple roles during that time. Schuetz earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and energy technology at the University of Applied Sciences, Konstanz. He also earned an MBA in management and operations from the Robins School of Business. Schuetz speaks English, Spanish and German.|

|Mr. Frank Teofilo is Senior Director, Energy Services leading First Solar’s Operations and Maintenance throughout Asia Pacific delivering high quality power plants and services to First Solar’s customers. Mr. Teofilo joined the company in 2012 and has over 30 years of PV solar expertise alongside strong background knowledge in engineering, business management and business research.
Prior to joining First Solar, Mr. Teofio was a General Manager at Commsolar, where he oversaw the development and execution of commercial PV projects. In this role, his extensive commercial negotiation skills resulted in successful outcomes on numerous, significant energy projects. Previous to this role, he was the Energy Innovation Manager at Integral Energy where he was responsible for energy efficiency and demand side curtailment programs, strategy and policy setting for the integration of renewable energy and embedded generation into their network. He was a valuable contributor to their Smart Grid roadmap focusing on areas of renewable energy deployment and customer engagement strategies. Mr. Teofilo has also been a member of various government energy related taskforces, advisory and board committees.

|Beatriz has over 6 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. Her experience covers several areas including monitoring systems, contract and site management, and operations supervision for medium scale solar sites. Within Blueshore, Beatriz has led site analysis on over 1GW of projects including onsite inspection and defect identification for over 250MW of plants. Prior to working for Blueshore, Beatriz was a founding employee of Bluefield Services where she played an instrumental role in the build out of the business including the development of its systems and procedures. Prior to working with Bluefield Services Ltd, Beatriz gained experience in electrical supply chain management at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), including the specification of electrical equipment for supply to high voltage substations and photovoltaic projects, along with management of Quality, and Health and Safety processes. Beatriz studied a Master’s in Industrial Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, specializing in electronics and process automation, followed by an electrical engineering intensification at Katholieke Leuven University, supplemented by a Master’s in Renewable Energies, Universidad San Pablo CEU, and a postgraduate degree on business practices at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
